Next week in M3...

*Please remember that if your child would like to dress up on Halloween they need to bring a $5 donation to the Jr. Beta Club. All money raised is going to hurricane relief!

*We will be having a Thanksgiving lunch for parents to attend on November 13th at 11:13! Invitations will be sent home next week.

*Fall Festival is on Sunday from 1pm-5pm! I am decorating my trunk for Trunk or Treat and would love to see all the kids in their costumes. We will also be raffling off the pumpkins that we carved in class.

Next week in M3...

It has been a fantastic conference week! I was able to meet with at least one parent of each kid! How awesome! Today I am sending home a spelling choice board. This is NOT required homework. It is optional spelling practice.
I am also working on a packet to send home with extra place value practice and reading comprehension questions for those who would like to practice.

*Second grade is considering hosting a math night for parents. We would love to show you all the strategies we teach and how they are done. Please comment and let me know if that is something you would be interested in.

 - Next week in Red Ribbon Week! There will be prizes for participation each day! Monday is wear as much red as you can day.

- Jr. Beta is hosting our 1st fundraiser to raise money for hurricane relief. We will fundraise October 27th, 30th, and 31st, allowing students who participated to dress as their favorite book character on the 31st (Halloween). The cost is $5.

We are trying to keep this academic, so if you are currently doing a novel study, please encourage students to dress as one of the characters! **No scary or violent costumes**

Next Week In M3...

Sorry for the later than usual update this week. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Some important reminders:
- ALL of next week will be early release due to conferences! Please send in a note if your child's transportation will change. I look forward to seeing you all at conferences.
- Support the Pride has been extended! If Springer reaches his crown Dr. Swec will be duct taped to the wall.
- There will be NO spelling words this week!
- Please remember that each child has a login for Mobymax.com and Kidsa-z.com
These are great resources for them to practice!
- If you signed up to bring any of the items for the STEM Lab activity please remember that they will need those by Tuesday (whole milk, table salt, and gallon ziplocks). I heard a rumor that they're making something yummy!

It was a fantastic week back at school this week!

- TONIGHT is Move Night at the K-1 campus! They will be showing Secret Life of Pets
- Please sign and return the conference paper that was sent home! Many of you already sent them back. Thank you! I am looking forward to meeting with you all the week of the 16th.
- October 12th is an early release day. If your child will have different transportation than usual please be sure to send in a note.
