During the first week of school we will spend time going over rules and procedures that we follow. We will do some fun activities to get to know each other and build relationships- stay tuned for pictures!
Each week I will give you all an update on what we are learning and a list of spelling words.
- Math - We are going to get started by using graphs to keep learning about each other.
- Writing- Students will show me what great writers they already are by writing a narrative, opinion, and informative piece.
- Content - We will begin the week doing a couple STEM challenges and end the week by learning about seasons. We will revisit this during each season to observe the changes in nature.
- Reading- I will introduce (review for many of the students) Daily 5. We will practice our stamina to prepare for rounds. We will also review sentence structure, types of sentences, and vowels.
***Regular homework will begin the second week of school and spelling will start the fourth week.
