It has been a fantastic conference week! I was able to meet with at least one parent of each kid! How awesome! Today I am sending home a spelling choice board. This is NOT required homework. It is optional spelling practice.
I am also working on a packet to send home with extra place value practice and reading comprehension questions for those who would like to practice.

*Second grade is considering hosting a math night for parents. We would love to show you all the strategies we teach and how they are done. Please comment and let me know if that is something you would be interested in.

Fall Festival forms are coming home today! I'll be doing Trunk-or Treat and would love to see you all there!

 - Next week in Red Ribbon Week! There will be prizes for participation each day! Monday is wear as much red as you can day.

- Jr. Beta is hosting our 1^st fundraiser to raise money for hurricane relief. We will fundraise October 27^th, 30^th, and 31^st, allowing students who participated to dress as their favorite book character on the 31^st (Halloween). The cost is $5.

We are trying to keep this academic, so if you are currently doing a novel study, please encourage students to dress as one of the characters! **No scary or violent costumes**
